About

The Cowboys were founded by Chris Malec and Richard Mercado in 2013. The Cowboys aim to provide a safe, detailed, disciplined, and innovative platform for young men to grow mentally and physically through baseball.

Our founding principle is to build players from the inside out. We preach character, integrity, respect, honor, accountability, and work ethic above all else. These characteristics are the cornerstone of success in any endeavor. We teach these values and principles through our highly structured practice and game routines. The vast majority of our players will never make a career out of playing baseball, but will eventually be able to use the principles they learned through the Cowboys program as husbands, fathers, brothers, sons, friends and employees.

The Cowboys have quickly established a reputation as a class organization comprised of respectful, hard working and passionate players. The program has consistently placed extremely well at local and national events, and has earned the respect of college coaches across the nation for having players that know how to play the game the right way. Winning is a byproduct of the characteristics, consistent routine, and holistic approach our coaching staff provides.

Cowboys Communication

We pride ourselves on our ability to communicate schedules up to twelve months in advance. Our practice schedule is set in August for the fall and December for the spring, as well as our tournament and game schedules. Families are notified well in advance of planned weekends off. All of our schedules are communicated through Teamsnap, which contains times, locations, links, uniform information and availability.

At the beginning of each fall and spring, as we choose our rosters, and lay out our logistics, families are informed of how we come to certain decisions, the purpose behind each action taken, and how this program or formula will benefit their son in the long term. In our college development program, we go into further detail and lay a specific and individualized schedule for each player based on ability, academics, college aspirations, and costs.
